Med Marine has entered into a shipbuilding contract with the Namibian Ports Authority (NAMPORT) for the construction of a high-performance TRAktor tugboat. The agreement, signed on October 28, 2025, at NAMPORT's headquarters in Walvis Bay, involves Med Marine undertaking
the construction, outfitting, testing, and delivery of the tugboat, which boasts a bollard pull capacity of 80 tonnes. This vessel will join NAMPORT's fleet at the Port of Walvis Bay, aiming to improve operational efficiency, safety, and towage capabilities. The contract was signed by NAMPORT's CEO, Andrew Kanime, and Med Marine's Chief Legal Counsel, Ali Can Çiftçi, with several other officials in attendance.
