1,435 couples participated. Each couple kissed for five seconds under a giant mistletoe, a 10-foot-diameter sphere made of ribbons, blooms, and greenery, suspended 30 feet in the air. The previous record was held by St. Louis, where 480 couples kissed under mistletoe in 2019.
