What's Happening?
Proskauer has announced the addition of Gregory Morris as a partner in its intellectual property and patent law groups in New York. Morris brings over two decades of experience in IP matters, including Hatch-Waxman disputes and inter partes review proceedings.
His expertise extends to guiding pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies through complex patent litigation. Morris also provides strategic IP counseling and due diligence advice to help clients secure value. Prior to joining Proskauer, Morris was a partner at O'Melveny & Myers.
Why It's Important?
The inclusion of Gregory Morris in Proskauer's IP practice is significant as it strengthens the firm's capabilities in handling complex intellectual property issues, particularly in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Morris's experience in patent litigation and strategic IP counseling is expected to enhance Proskauer's ability to serve clients in these industries, which are often subject to intricate legal challenges. This move could potentially attract more clients seeking expert guidance in IP matters, thereby boosting Proskauer's market position in New York and beyond.
