What's Happening?
Spain has announced the deployment of its Paznic tactical aviation squadron to Romania as part of NATO's enhanced air patrol mission, eAP-72. This mission will see approximately 200 service members from
the Spanish Air and Space Forces stationed at Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base for the next four months. The core of the aviation group will include seven F-18M fighter jets, supported by an A400M transport aircraft for the first two months, and three NH-90 helicopters in the final phase to counter drones.
