What's Happening?
Lithuanian company Granta Autonomy has unveiled its X-Wing loitering munition system, designed for precision strike missions. The system combines vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) capabilities with a fixed-wing unmanned aircraft system (UAS). It features a 4 kg hybrid warhead capable of penetrating heavily armored vehicles and an AI-based targeting system for identifying camouflaged targets. The X-Wing can operate in GNSS-denied environments and has been tested in Ukraine. Granta plans to produce 1,000 units per month by mid-2026, with deliveries starting before the end of 2025.
