What's Happening?
The installation of a shared-use trail segment and bridge over Boggy Creek in East Austin is underway as part of Phase 5 of the MoKan Trail project. This phase, funded by the 2020 Mobility Bond and Community Project Funding secured by U.S. Rep. Lloyd
Doggett, aims to enhance walking and biking connections in the area. The project, which began in January, is expected to be completed this fall, closing a significant gap in the trail network. Additional safety improvements at the Springdale Road crossing are scheduled to start in late September, further enhancing the trail's accessibility and safety.
