Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced a management agreement with Takenaka Corporation to open the first Hyatt hotel in western Japan's Chūgoku region. The new hotel, Andaz Hiroshima, is set to open in 2027 and will be located in the heart of Hiroshima.
It will occupy the 21st to 31st floors of a new mixed-use high-rise, part of a major urban redevelopment project. The hotel will feature 235 guest rooms and suites inspired by Hiroshima's cultural legacy, along with amenities such as restaurants, a rooftop bar, a fitness center, and event spaces. Hiroshima is known for its historical significance and cultural attractions, including the Atomic Bomb Dome and Peace Memorial Park, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
