The Elgin Symphony Orchestra is set to host a Día de los Muertos concert and community celebration at The Hemmens Cultural Center in downtown Elgin. The event will take place on Thursday, October 30, starting with pre-concert activities at 5:30 p.m. These
activities include free face painting, crafts, lobby entertainment, and a talk on the history of Día de los Muertos at 6:30 p.m. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m., featuring vocalist José Carlos Díaz performing special arrangements of popular boleros and a performance by the BFH dance ensemble. Tickets are priced at $25, with a discounted rate of $5 for students. Free youth tickets are available for children aged 17 and under when accompanied by a paid adult ticket.
