The University of Evansville has announced the appointment of Monique Dozier as the assistant vice president for development, effective March 3. Dozier, an alumna of Harrison High School in Evansville, returns to her hometown after over two decades in leadership
roles within higher education. Her new role will involve providing strategic leadership to the university's development operations, focusing on major gifts, advancement services, and long-term fundraising goals. Dozier's previous experience includes serving as vice chancellor for university advancement and president of the foundation at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, as well as holding senior advancement roles at the University of California, Riverside, Morehouse College, and Michigan State University. The university also announced that Sylvia DeVault will transition to the role of senior director of community and engagement, overseeing corporate and foundation relations and leading the alumni and engagement team.
