Alstom and Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) have introduced the first of ten electric trains designed for an express service connecting Barcelona city center with Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El
Prat Airport. The trains, built at Alstom's facility, are set to begin service between late 2026 and early 2027, operating every 15 minutes. The route will cover 22.7 kilometers and include nine stations, enhancing connectivity between the city and the airport.
