What's Happening?
Staff Sgt. Ella Ram, a combat soldier in the Home Front Command's Search and Rescue Brigade, is following in the footsteps of her father, Elad, who was killed during the Second Lebanon War. Ella was only 10 months old when her father died, but she has
been raised with his values and stories of his bravery. Elad was a Golani Brigade combat soldier who died while rescuing wounded soldiers under fire. Ella, inspired by her father's legacy, enlisted in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) as a combat soldier, despite being from a bereaved family. She has participated in various rescue operations, including during the 'Swords of Iron' war and Operation 'Rising Lion', where she was involved in rescue missions in Rehovot, Beersheba, Dimona, and Arad.
