Oregon has approved a solar project that includes a unique wildlife corridor to protect local deer and elk populations. The Diamond Solar Project, developed by Invenergy, will install 406,000 solar panels on 1,560 acres of forest land. A 600-foot gap
will be left between two blocks of panels to allow wildlife to access water sources. The project is expected to be operational by 2029, with construction taking approximately 24 months.
