Basil 'Bill' N. Stavropoulos, a resident of Elmwood Park, Illinois, has passed away at the age of 80. He was reunited with his beloved wife Linda on November 1, 2025. Born to Nicholas C. and Eleftheria
Stavropoulos in Edessa, Greece, Basil is survived by his sons Nicholas and George, granddaughters Eleni and Evangelina, and siblings Constantine, Panos, and Koula Stavropoulos. The family has announced visitation and funeral arrangements, with services to be held at Salerno Galewood Chapels in Chicago, followed by interment at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in his name.
