United Engine has successfully completed certification tests for the Aviadvigatel PD-8 powerplant, designed for the Yakovlev SJ-100 aircraft. The PD-8 has undergone extensive testing, including icing, bird-strike, and endurance trials, accumulating nearly
6,600 hours of operation. The engine features 17 new technological advancements, enhancing its reliability and safety. The completion of these tests is a significant milestone, bringing the SJ-100 closer to certification. The PD-8 is also intended for use in the Beriev Be-200 amphibious firefighter.
