The Georges Namoano Military Academy in Burkina Faso has graduated 217 new second lieutenants, with 199 set to serve in Burkina Faso's armed forces and the remainder joining the military forces of nine other African countries. The graduation ceremony,
attended by Burkina Faso President Ibrahim Traoré, marks the 25th class to complete training at the academy. The event was held on the grounds of the new academy, which is still under construction, symbolizing the country's commitment to building a strong and independent military.
