The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) has developed the Viet Nam Country Gender Equality Profile (CGEP) 2026. This report, a collaborative effort with United Nations entities, government institutions, and development
partners, builds on the initial profile published in 2021. It provides a comprehensive analysis of gender equality in Viet Nam, highlighting progress, ongoing challenges, and emerging issues. The profile covers various areas including demographic transitions, health and education, gender-based violence, economic development, employment, social protection, the care economy, women's leadership, technology, digital transformation, and climate change. The report aims to inform Viet Nam's Socio-Economic Development Plan 2026-2030 and the National Strategy on Gender Equality 2021-2030, offering recommendations to address gender disparities and promote equality.
