Roy Kim, a 13-year-old student from Oregon, has developed an innovative device that converts moisture in the air into water, providing a sustainable solution for farmers in drought-prone areas. The device utilizes a Peltier Module, which creates a temperature
difference when electricity is applied, causing water vapor in the air to condense into liquid drops. This invention aims to address the challenges faced by farmers who rely on diminishing sources of groundwater, surface water, and rainfall for irrigation. Kim's device has been tested to produce 10ml of water in two hours, with its highest efficiency recorded at 135.8 grams per kilowatt-hour. The device also includes sensors to monitor soil moisture, temperature, and humidity, ensuring optimal water distribution to plants.

This development is significant as it offers a potential solution to the water scarcity issues that affect agriculture, particularly in regions experiencing severe droughts.
