What's Happening?
The Indian Army has placed orders with Hild Defence and Aerospace for several unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including the Atlas mortar-dropped quadcopter and the Talon FPV UAV. The Atlas UAV, capable of carrying a payload of up to 20 kg, is designed
for high-altitude operations and has a range of up to 25 km. The Talon FPV, with a range of 10 to 20 km, can carry a munitions payload of up to 3 kg. Deliveries of the Talon UAVs are scheduled to begin in June, following the delivery of five Atlas units in late 2025.
