Cologne-Bonn Airport in Germany has initiated a pilot project involving the installation of 80 adhesive solar panels on a 27-meter chimney of its co-generation plant. Developed by Heliatek, these panels are designed to generate up to 4,400 kWh annually, equivalent to the energy consumption of a typical household. The panels, which do not require a substructure due to their rear adhesive, have an efficiency range of 7.2% to 8.0% and a power output between 50 W and 55 W.
