Calexico High School's yearbook, known as La Aurora, has a rich history dating back to 1928 when it replaced the original title, The Gold and White. The name La Aurora, inspired by the Roman goddess of the dawn, symbolizes renewal and fresh beginnings,
fitting for a publication that captures the spirit and memories of an academic year. The yearbook has evolved over the years, reflecting changes in student life, school events, and community involvement. Despite its humble beginnings, with early editions selling for $2.00, La Aurora remains a cherished tradition at Calexico High School.
