Hainan, a southern tropical island province of China, has initiated a flight voucher program worth approximately $730,000 in collaboration with the international online travel platform Trip.com. This initiative,
launched on April 22, 2026, aims to reduce air travel costs for inbound tourists and is part of a broader campaign titled 'Discount Flights to Hainan, Enjoyable Vacations.' The campaign will run until August 30, 2026, and is available across more than 30 Trip.com global sites. The program offers two tiers of discounts: tourists from select Southeast Asian countries, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan can receive a $58 discount on flight purchases over $232, while tourists from other countries can avail a $87 discount on bookings over $435. The campaign also includes six premium tour routes and ten ocean-themed routes, enhancing the tourism experience with diverse attractions and activities.
