What's Happening?
Milan's Poli.Design, part of the Politecnico university, is set to launch a new course titled 'Luxury Heritage Management: Branding & Archive' in March. The 120-hour executive course aims to train future
heritage managers and professionals in understanding, managing, and communicating the heritage of luxury brands. The program includes theoretical and practical activities, focusing on branding, archive preservation, and digital archiving tools. The course is designed for graduates in humanities, arts, design, engineering, or management.
Why It's Important?
The introduction of this course highlights the growing importance of heritage management in the luxury sector. As interest in archival garments and accessories increases, there is a demand for professionals skilled in preserving and promoting luxury brand heritage. This course could help meet that demand, providing students with the skills needed to work in various roles within luxury brands and institutions. It also reflects a broader trend of integrating historical and cultural elements into modern luxury branding, which can enhance brand value and consumer engagement.
What's Next?
Applications for the course are open until February 6, with the first edition launching on March 9. The course is expected to attract graduates interested in pursuing careers in luxury brand management, potentially influencing the future landscape of the luxury industry. As more brands recognize the value of heritage management, similar programs may emerge, further professionalizing the field and creating new career opportunities.
