join later. She was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her room. Authorities were alerted around 4:15 pm, and the police were called to the scene at the Devi Girls Hostel near Civil Hospital. A three-page suicide note addressed to her mother was discovered, in which Jiya expressed feelings of failure and loneliness, apologizing for not being a 'good daughter.' She mentioned her struggles with making friends despite others' attempts to befriend her. The college dean, Meenakshi Parikh, did not respond to inquiries regarding the incident.
