Emirates has announced the introduction of a third daily service on the Dubai-Cape Town route, utilizing the next-generation A350 aircraft. This move marks the first time Emirates' latest aircraft will
serve the South African market. The deployment is part of Emirates' strategy to enhance travel options between South Africa and Dubai, offering a full suite of products and services, including the iconic A380 and the fully-retrofitted Boeing 777. The regional manager of Southern Africa, Afzal Parambil, highlighted that this fleet mix provides flexibility for customers traveling through Emirates' three gateways, ensuring a premium experience on every flight. Additionally, Emirates plans to deploy the A350 on new daily services to Copenhagen and Phuket, aiming to meet the anticipated surge in winter travel demand. By July 1, 2026, Emirates will operate its Premium Economy retrofitted A380, Boeing 777, and A350 aircraft on more than 84 routes, emphasizing a consistent premium experience across its network.
