Bechtel, a global engineering and construction group, has announced plans to collaborate with Doral Renewables to design and build a 430-MW solar power station in Texas. The Cold Creek Solar+Storage project
will also include a 340-MWh battery energy storage system, aimed at strengthening the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) grid. The project, located in Schleicher and Tom Green counties, will feature over 850,000 solar modules and is expected to create more than 500 jobs at peak construction. Commercial operation is anticipated to begin in 2028.
