What's Happening?
A collaborative effort between the Fayette Regional Humane Society, Ross County Humane Society, and American Electric Power (AEP) led to the successful rescue of a cat named Electra from an electric pole in Ross County. Humane agents, upon receiving a report
of the stranded cat, recognized the need for specialized equipment and contacted AEP. Lineman Jason Brown was dispatched and safely removed Electra using proper safety procedures. The cat was then taken to the Fayette Regional Humane Society’s Animal Care and Adoption Center for ongoing care. The incident underscores the importance of partnerships in ensuring animal welfare and highlights the commitment of local organizations to respond effectively to such emergencies.
