Emmett Johnson, a junior running back from the University of Nebraska, has been named one of the ten semifinalists for the 2025 Doak Walker National Collegiate Running Back Award. Johnson has achieved
significant milestones this season, ranking in the top five nationally for both yards from scrimmage and rushing yards. He has accumulated 1,431 yards from scrimmage, leading all power conference players and ranking second nationally. On the ground, Johnson has rushed for 1,131 yards and scored 11 touchdowns, placing him fourth in rushing yards per game and fifth in total rushing yards. Additionally, he has made 36 receptions for 300 yards and three touchdowns. Johnson's performance includes six 100-yard rushing games this year, with three consecutive 100-yard performances. Notably, he became the first Nebraska player to achieve over 100 yards rushing and receiving in the same game during a victory over UCLA.
