What's Happening?
Topnotch Resort in Vermont has announced a major expansion project, introducing 27 luxury residences and comprehensive resort enhancements. The new three-story building will feature one- to four-bedroom
residences with open floor plans and views of the Green Mountains. Owners will have access to extensive amenities, including a wellness spa, fitness center, tennis academy, and mountain biking trails. The project, set to begin in 2026, aims to elevate the guest experience while maintaining resort operations during construction.
Why It's Important?
The expansion of Topnotch Resort is expected to generate significant economic benefits for the Stowe region, creating approximately 500 construction jobs and 28-34 permanent positions. The enhanced resort will likely increase visitor spending, benefiting local businesses and reinforcing Stowe's status as a premier destination. The introduction of luxury residences offers potential revenue opportunities for owners through a rental management program. This development reflects a growing trend in the hospitality industry towards offering integrated living and vacation experiences.
What's Next?
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026, with the project completed in phases to minimize disruption. The resort will remain operational, with renovations to the lobby, hotel rooms, restaurants, and spa. The development team includes AWH Partners, Spire Hospitality, VOCON, and Coldwell Banker Carlson. As the project progresses, updates and reservations for the residences will be available on TopnotchResidences.com.
