What's Happening?
NASA has open sourced ExoMiner++, its deep learning-based AI system, to accelerate the discovery of exoplanets. ExoMiner++ analyzes data from the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) to identify potential exoplanets, having already validated 370
exoplanets in previous missions. By making the system open-source, NASA aims to foster global collaboration among researchers, astronomers, and developers, allowing them to study, audit, and enhance the model.
