What's Happening?
Underground Books, a nonprofit bookstore located in Oak Park, has been serving as a literary hub since its opening in the summer of 2003. Part of the 40 Acres Cultural Center and under the umbrella of St. HOPE, the bookstore has become a central gathering
place for the community. It offers a wide range of books and serves as a venue for cultural events, fostering a sense of community and promoting literacy and education in the neighborhood.
