Congressman Tom Emmer is currently accepting applications from students residing in Minnesota’s Sixth Congressional District for nominations to four prestigious U.S. service academies. These include the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval
Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. To be eligible, applicants must meet specific criteria: they must be U.S. citizens, no older than 22 years of age, unmarried, and without dependents. The application package requires several documents, including an academic transcript, official SAT or ACT scores, three letters of recommendation, a recent photograph, and a typed essay detailing the student's motivation for attending a service academy. The deadline for submitting these applications to Emmer’s Otsego district office is October 30th.
