Israel's Ministry of Defence (IMOD) has signed a procurement order to expedite the production of the Iron Dome air defense system. The contract was formalized on November 20, 2025, at the Ministry's headquarters,
led by Director General Major General (Res.) Amir Baram and chaired by Defence Minister Israel Katz. The agreement involves Rafael Advanced Defence Systems, tasked with supplying a significant quantity of Iron Dome interceptors to both the IMOD and the Israel Defence Forces (IDF). The contract, valued at several billion dollars, includes collaboration with ELTA Systems, a division of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), and mPrest. The funding for this procurement comes from a $5.2 billion allocation for Israeli air defense within an $8.7 billion US aid package approved by the US Congress in April 2024.
