Francis Mauigoa, a sophomore at the University of Miami, and his brother Francisco Mauigoa, a senior, have been named to the preseason watch list for the 2024 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award. This recognition is given by the Polynesian Football Hall
of Fame and includes 96 players from 37 different programs. Francis Mauigoa, who started all 13 games at right tackle for Miami, earned Freshman All-America honors and an All-ACC Honorable Mention. His contributions helped Miami achieve the second-most yards per game and the third-highest scoring offense in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Francisco Mauigoa, a standout linebacker, was an All-ACC Second Team pick, leading his team with 82 tackles and 18 tackles for loss.
