Fincantieri's underwater systems subsidiary, WASS, has secured a significant contract with the Indian Navy to supply Black Shark Advanced (BSA) heavyweight torpedoes for its Scorpène-class submarine fleet. This contract, valued at over €200 million, marks
the largest order for WASS to date. The agreement includes the delivery of torpedoes, launch systems, maintenance equipment, and spare parts, providing a comprehensive support package. Deliveries are scheduled between 2028 and 2030, with production taking place at WASS's facility in Livorno, Italy.
