What's Happening?
Thrive New Orleans is actively working to enhance workforce development and community renewal by focusing on climate resilient jobs and small business growth. Since 2008, the organization has been providing
job training, life-skills coaching, and employment support to increase work opportunities and promote racial and environmental equity. Under the leadership of Executive Director Chuck Morse, Thrive New Orleans operates through four main pillars: workforce development, entrepreneurship, community, and environment. The organization offers programs like Thrive Works Green, which trains individuals for jobs in green infrastructure, stormwater management, weatherization, solar energy, and related fields. Participants gain certifications and job placement support while acquiring skills in carpentry, installation, masonry, paving, horticulture, and arborist work. Thrive also supports small businesses, particularly minority-owned ones, through training and community-based business coaching.
