Authority. Despite these increases, the demand for Cayman as a financial services hub remained strong, with a notable rise in the number of new companies incorporated during the first half of the year. A report by UK-based consultancy Capital Economics highlighted that the financial services sector accounted for 44% of the islands' economy in 2023 and 45% of government revenue in 2024, surpassing previous estimates. However, further fee hikes were announced in November 2025, affecting banks, trusts, insurance companies, and other financial entities, with implementation set for 2026.
