What's Happening?
Nebius, in collaboration with Nvidia, has launched the Physical AI Living Lab, a six-month program aimed at supporting British and European robotics startups. The initiative provides access to Nvidia's physical AI development tools and Nebius's AI cloud
infrastructure, enabling startups to move from simulation to real-world deployment more efficiently. The program addresses the challenges faced by early-stage robotics companies in accessing large-scale simulation, synthetic data, and accelerated computing resources. The first cohort of startups will begin in September 2026, with technical guidance provided by engineers from both companies.
Why It's Important?
The Physical AI Living Lab represents a significant opportunity for European robotics startups to overcome barriers related to resource access and infrastructure. By providing advanced tools and support, the program aims to accelerate the development and deployment of physical AI solutions, potentially leading to innovations that could benefit various industries. This initiative highlights the importance of collaboration between tech companies to foster innovation and support emerging technologies. The success of the lab could enhance the competitiveness of European robotics startups on a global scale, contributing to economic growth and technological advancement.
What's Next?
Nebius and Nvidia plan to expand the Physical AI Living Lab to other regions and increase the number of participating cohorts as the program grows. The companies aim to create a feedback loop that will refine their own physical AI operations while supporting startups. As the lab progresses, it may lead to the development of new AI applications and solutions, further advancing the field of robotics. The initiative could also inspire similar programs worldwide, promoting the growth of the robotics industry and the adoption of AI technologies.
