What's Happening?
Hilton has announced a nationwide partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) to provide mentorship and career exposure to young people across the U.S. The initiative will involve donating 250 million Hilton Honors Points to create transformative
travel experiences for BBBSA participants. Over the next year, the partnership aims to create over 10,000 mentoring moments in six U.S. markets, helping young people build confidence and explore career paths in hospitality. This effort is part of Hilton's broader commitment to expanding access to career growth opportunities and closing the opportunity gap for youth aged 16-24.
Why It's Important?
This partnership highlights the role of corporate social responsibility in addressing social issues such as youth unemployment and the opportunity gap. By leveraging its resources and expertise, Hilton is providing young people with valuable mentorship and career exposure, which can lead to long-term economic mobility and success. The initiative also reflects the potential of the hospitality industry to serve as a pathway to meaningful careers, offering young people the skills and experiences needed to thrive in the workforce.
What's Next?
The partnership will begin in the 2026-2027 school year, with structured development experiences planned across Hilton properties. Participants will engage in monthly mentoring sessions and skill-building activities, gaining insights into the hospitality industry. As the program expands, it aims to deepen its impact on young people and communities nationwide, potentially serving as a model for similar initiatives in other industries.
