The San Bernardino Community College District has been awarded a $3.5 million state grant as part of a nearly $40 million initiative announced by Governor Gavin Newsom. This funding is intended to enhance workforce training and apprenticeship programs
across the Inland Empire. The grant will support San Bernardino Valley College, Crafton Hills College, and six other community colleges in expanding training in sectors such as clean economy innovation, advanced manufacturing, and cybersecurity. Chancellor Diana Rodriguez emphasized that this investment will help residents develop essential employment skills, thereby supporting local families.
