that nearly 70% of middle and high school students are worried that using AI for schoolwork is eroding their ability to think critically. This concern has increased significantly over time, with middle school students reporting a rise from 48% to 68% and high school students from 55% to 65% between May and December 2025. Despite these concerns, the use of AI for homework has increased, with middle school usage rising from 30% to 46% and high school usage from 49% to 60% during the same period.
