Beachwood Coastal Estate, a R3.5 billion development in Durban North, has commenced construction with the aim of creating a low-density, environmentally friendly residential area. The project, which covers
430,333 square meters, is expected to generate approximately 1,500 jobs during its construction and operational phases. The estate will feature a mix of freestanding plots, apartments, and duplex villas, with prices ranging from R6.1 million to R25.15 million. The development emphasizes ecological restoration, with over 50% of the site dedicated to open spaces, including rehabilitated dune forests and wetlands.
