What's Happening?
The United Way of Dane County is organizing its annual 'Day of Caring' event, set to take place on August 20, 2026, at the Madison Marriott West in Middleton. This event marks the beginning of the organization's 2026 Community Campaign. It is one of the largest
volunteer events in Dane County, aiming to mobilize community members to support local families and individuals facing financial hardship. Volunteers will assemble thousands of ImPacks, which are essential care kits filled with items frequently requested by United Way’s nonprofit partners. These kits will be distributed to those in need throughout the county. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about the challenges local families face and the collaborative efforts to build a stronger community. Each volunteer will receive a complimentary United Way Volunteer T-shirt and enjoy snacks while working alongside others.
