Boeing has officially commenced the expansion of its 787 production facilities in North Charleston, South Carolina. The $1 billion project includes a new final assembly line building, parts preparation
area, vertical fin paint facility, and additional flight-line stalls. This expansion aims to double the size of the current facilities and increase production capacity, with the new assembly line expected to be operational by 2028.
