SCAN Health Plan has announced an expansion of its Medicare Advantage (MA) offerings for 2026, despite facing significant challenges in the MA sector. The not-for-profit insurer plans to extend its coverage to 33 counties across six states, including a new entry into Washington. The 2026 plans will feature $0 copayments for primary care and certain specialist visits, as well as for Tier 1 and Tier 2 medications. Approximately 90% of medications taken by members will have no cost-share, including insulin options. Additional benefits include dental care allowances ranging from $800 to $4,000 annually, vision care allowances between $175 and $1,000, and supplemental benefits for over-the-counter products, groceries, and in-home fitness equipment. SCAN is also introducing a program called Caregiver Advantage, in partnership with Careforth, to support family caregivers. The Medicare annual enrollment period begins on October 15.
