Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and Diagens Technology Co., Ltd. (Diagens Tech) have jointly launched the PolyU - DIAGENS Joint Laboratory for Artificial General Intelligence and Medical Applications. The new lab, unveiled on PolyU’s campus,
aims to foster long-term cooperation in the research and application of general artificial intelligence (AI) within healthcare. Key areas of focus include medical image analysis, the development of medical foundational models, and the automation and AI empowerment of research and development (R&D) workflows. This collaboration seeks to explore novel AI-powered approaches for medical research and integrate these outcomes into innovation networks across Hong Kong, mainland China, and globally.
