Fairtrade International, established in 1997, is a non-profit association comprising 22 member organizations, including producer networks and national Fairtrade organizations. It coordinates activities for its members and owns the FAIRTRADE Mark, a trademark
appearing on over 30,000 products globally. The organization employs around 90 staff at its central offices in Bonn, Germany. Fairtrade International facilitates decision-making through representatives on its Board of Directors and General Assembly, ensuring that all system members and certified producer organizations have a voice in its operations.
