What's Happening?
In-Comm Training, a prominent engineering and manufacturing apprenticeship provider, is calling on companies in the Black Country, Birmingham, and Shropshire to leverage a substantial talent pool of young individuals eager to enter vocational learning placements. This initiative follows a significant outreach effort involving local schools and community groups, supported by donations from the Orlik family and contributions from Howmet, Brandauer, and In-Comm Training. The STEM Engagement fund has engaged with 15 new schools, reaching 4000 pupils and over 50 teachers through various STEM activities. As a result, 125 individuals have already been placed with employers, with 75 more seeking positions in engineering and manufacturing roles.
