BWX Technologies, Inc. has inaugurated its Centrifuge Manufacturing Development Facility (CMDF) in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. This facility marks a significant step in reestablishing a domestic uranium enrichment

The CMDF is part of a $1.5 billion contract with the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration to ensure a secure supply of enriched uranium for defense needs.
