CIMMYT and the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing agricultural innovation and food security across the Turkic countries. The Memorandum of Understanding
(MoU) was signed on November 5, 2025, during the visit of Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, Secretary General of the OTS, to CIMMYT Headquarters in Mexico. This collaboration seeks to align CIMMYT’s 2030 Strategy with the Turkic World Vision 2040, focusing on developing climate-resilient crops, strengthening seed systems, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. The partnership is expected to leverage CIMMYT’s global expertise and the regional knowledge of the OTS to drive transformative progress in food systems and ensure sustainable growth.
