What's Happening?
The Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL.org), a grassroots coalition of foreign policy experts, veterans, and young professionals, is seeking Communications Interns. The organization is dedicated to revitalizing American leadership and believes that
international humanitarian and development assistance strengthens U.S. national security, boosts the economy, and upholds American values. A4AL supports policy changes to bolster foreign aid and works to elect members of Congress who advocate for diplomacy and development. The organization recently conducted a Hill Day at the Capitol with over 130 advocates and held a bipartisan press conference with Representatives Jamie Raskin, Brian Fitzpatrick, Herb Conaway, and James Walkinshaw. Interns will gain experience in politics, journalism, and digital advocacy, working to shape public understanding, drive civic action, and promote a renewed American commitment to global leadership.

Interns will assist in planning virtual and in-person media-related events and contribute to creative campaigns designed to mobilize public support for humanitarian aid. As the midterm elections approach, interns are expected to spend at least two hours per week phonebanking for A4AL's endorsed candidates, a key activity for forming relationships with Members of Congress and advancing policy goals. The Alliance also offers remote and in-person internship options in various locations, including Washington, D.C., and is seeking professionals for its Advisory Board and leadership team.
